AffirmAT is opening in Ireland first, and it is not open yet. Nothing on this site can be signed into, searched or put up today.
There is no waiting list and no sign-up: this page asks for nothing, not even an email address. It is here so what is being built can be read and held to.
Everything below is built and tested. None of it has yet met a phone network, a customer or a bill.
Work you can check
AffirmAT is a public record of finished work. The photographs are taken on the job, with the time and the place recorded as they are taken, and the client who paid confirms the job before it appears on anyone’s page.
The job is logged.
The client confirms it.
The record is public, and it belongs to both of them.
A label says what could be checked about a photograph and no more. Nobody from AffirmAT visits a job, and no rung on either ladder says the work was done well.
Rank is never sold, businesses never pay to be listed, and a review only ever hangs off a job the client confirmed.

What a confirmed job carries
12 Sep 13:19 · D06 · 6 m
A time, and a place when there is one
A photograph earns a stamp only where there is something to stamp it with: the camera’s own metadata, a signed capture, or a photograph taken through the AffirmAT app. Inside the job’s window and within 150 metres of the address, it earns the place as well. A file’s date is not evidence of when a photograph was taken, so a photograph with nothing checkable behind it is labelled photo added and carries no stamp at all.

A confirmation from the person who paid
The client is sent one link when the job is marked done, and answers one question with four ratings: quality, tidiness, communication and price. The number or address that answers is checked against the owner, the staff and every phone and email on the team, and a match is refused — a business cannot confirm its own work. There is no form anywhere on AffirmAT that writes a review without a job behind it.

Numbers computed, not claimed
Every figure on a business page is counted from its own records, and the confirmation rate is shown beside the job count so a page cannot show its wins and hide the rest. It is taken over jobs marked done at least 14 days ago. Nobody can edit one, AffirmAT included: there is no screen anywhere in the product that can.
Example figures. There is no business on AffirmAT yet, so every number in this frame is an illustration of the shape a real one takes.
What the words prove, and what they do not
The job
A job itself sits on one of three rungs, and the card prints which. Verified is the only rung that may be described as verified on site, and almost no job on the website reaches it: it needs a device attesting to its own camera, which a browser cannot do. A confirmed job whose photographs came off a phone in the ordinary way reads as client confirmed, and that is the designed behaviour rather than a gap.
Verified
The client confirmed the job, and at least one photograph was taken through AffirmAT inside the job's own window and within 150 metres of the address or premises it is filed against. This is the only tier that may be described as verified on site. What it does not say. It says a camera was in the right place at the right time and that the client said the job happened. It does not say the work was done well, and AffirmAT has not inspected it.
Client confirmed
The client who paid followed a link, said the job happened, and rated four things: quality, tidiness, communication and price. The photographs did not meet the place test, or were added afterwards. What it does not say. It is one person’s account of one job. It is not an inspection and it is not a certificate.
Logged
A business recorded the job on its own ledger. Nobody outside the business has said anything about it.What it does not say. A logged job is not evidence of finished work. It does not count towards the confirmed job figure and it does not affect where a business appears in results.
The photographs
Every photograph carries one of four labels, decided by what can be checked about the file rather than by where it came from. A label is never upgraded later. What each one does not say is the half that gets left out everywhere else, so both halves are here.
Verified on site
The photograph came from a signed capture — a camera that signs its own files, or the AffirmAT app with the device attesting to itself — taken inside the job window and within 150 metres of the anchor. What it does not say. A signature says the file has not been altered since the camera wrote it. It does not say what is in the frame.
Location matched
The photograph carried its own location, and that location was within 150 metres of the address or premises, with a fix good to 50 metres or better, taken inside the job window. What it does not say. It says where the camera was. A photograph of a screen, taken at the right address, would also carry the right location — which is why a confirmation from the client is still required before any job counts.
Time matched
The photograph's own timestamp fell inside the job window, but no usable location came with the file. This is the ordinary case on an iPhone, which removes location when a photo is shared unless the person allows it.What it does not say. It says when the photograph was taken, and nothing about where.
Photo added
A photograph was uploaded to the job. AffirmAT knows when it received the file and nothing else about it.What it does not say. It is not evidence. A photograph with this label carries no stamp, and it never upgrades to another label later.
Every word above is defined in the same place the product reads it from. What the words mean carries the whole ladder, how the place and the time are established, and the glossary.

An example ledger. A job that has not been confirmed still shows — it reads as awaiting confirmation, because hiding it is how a rate gets flattered.
If you are hiring
A search is by trade and area, and the businesses that come back are ordered by jobs near you that clients confirmed. Any job opens to the work itself: the before, the after, when and where the photographs were taken, and what the client said about tidiness and price.
Nobody has paid to be at the top, because there is nothing to buy.
Each job names what was done and who confirmed it, so there are records to read rather than adjectives.
After a job of your own, the record goes to your logbook and stays there when you sell the house or the car.
This is the same list that is on the verification page, and it is the whole of it. Where AffirmAT is weaker than a reader might assume, it says so here rather than further down.
AffirmAT does not inspect work. Nobody from AffirmAT visits a job, before or after.
AffirmAT does not certify a tradesperson. Where a register or an insurance mark is shown, it says what was matched and on what date, and no more than that.
AffirmAT does not judge whether a price was fair. Clients rate price out of five, and that is their opinion, not a finding.
AffirmAT does not hold or move money. There is no deposit, no escrow, no payment and no guarantee of any kind.
AffirmAT does not rank by rating alone, and does not sell rank at any price. Results are ordered by confirmed work near you.
AffirmAT cannot tell you that a photograph shows the job it is filed against. It can tell you when the file was made and, sometimes, where.
A phone number given for a one-off job is kept for 30 days after the job closes and then deleted, unless the client keeps a logbook.
